As of today, about 107 clicked on my 'Maid' post.
I created the post more for my future reference, though.
And now, I don't have a maid.
Yep, my maid went back to her hometown, which I suspected due to her husband persistent request.
My maid extended 1 year contract with me on her will,
and with that, she didn't even went back to her hometown
after her 1st 2-year contract ended,
even though i insisted so.
When she renewed the contract,
she didn't inform her husband and family about such intention,
even when i asked her so.
Reason, she said,
she's afraid they will not allow her to come back to work in Malaysia.
We increased her pay by 25% when she renewed her contract.
She wanted to work as she wants to save money for her children's education.
She wanted her son to have the opportunity to study at technical school because of her son's interest and the school fees is quite substantial.
Well, she was with me for about 3 months after she renewed her contract when she abruptly request to go back to her hometown after she called up her husband on that one particular day. She said she will come back after 2 months break. As I have suspected, she didn't.
I miss her, especially all the helps. Then again, being a mother myself, I don't have the heart to see her separating from her family especially her growing children, going into teen years. She took care of my son very well. Not just that, she was also my son's teacher, at her will, taught my son ABC, 1-2-3, Alif Ba Ta, colours, and also to speak. She enjoys nurturing kids, I noticed, because she not only did that to my son but also to my nephews and nieces.
I now need a maid. I'm not sure how to start again.
